first thing i knew when i walked into that room was scarlet
and it all faded to blue but really i knew it was scarlet
my eyes went to sleep like a weakness

i was given up on by scarlet
and the vampires in my mind they drank blood, red-scarlet
i was 100 hundred things but myself
oh the beauty and the elegance would make you laugh

two hundred and sixty five days in the bath
and we all look like roman ruins

last day in isolation first day from the crib i wore scarlet
gave myself attention just like you should and i bartered with my city
you see it laughs at me complacent in the wind
but it never wore red on a holiday no it never wore red on a holiday

and if im mismatched in my company then get this thing away from me
ive been standing by myself in this hole for far too long
