2018, a girl is in a backroom of a party in Tennessee and everyone pulls out guns. She moves, hides in the bathroom, listening to Sinéad O'Connor and John Coltrane on her iPod till the sun rises.
She wants to sober up, to feel safe. Sneaks out, walks along the freeway cursing under her breath.

And love? a powerful thing. Makes fools of us all.
And drugs? the yearning to leave the house and dance with strangers?
And ego? and tight pants and queer kids and chic flats and Scottish parties and rinsing yer bank for a split share taxi.
