there's a dog somewhere barking
cuz no-one will tell him
what time it was when he went to bed
and now the lights a bit too constant
for him to find solace
in merely resting his head

he feels abandoned by the animals
and useless to the morning
which is five-hours deep into
it's passions like playtime

curtains drawn tightly,
arm around his girl-
he gets up to get him and get-him-up
from the bags behind his desk
